~History~
Atticus was born a shifter, although his parents were not aware of it until his later years. The boy, when he was younger, never preferred to shift and just lived a normal life. He went to school, went to college, and earned himself a nice degree at which he could be considered a lawyer. He had always wanted to stand up for those that couldn't. Plus he could make some good funds for his parents once they retired. If they ever needed the money, that is.
But once his parents did find out about his shifting ability, they disowned him. He was heartbroken. How could his own parents turn on him just like that? But that wasn't all. The town he lived it also found out he was a shifter, and they also disowned and banished him. They took all of his possessions besides the clothes on his back and the shoes on his feet. No car, no house, no books, no love. All of what he once owned was snatched away from him in the blink of an eye. All he could do was watch. They told him to never come back.
Years passed, and he had kept himself alive by staying in his morphed state, a great horned owl, for as long as he could. He lived off of mice, rabbits, and other small creatures and nested in the trees although he never choose to get much sleep. It wasn't until later on that he realized there were others like him. That he wasn't the only one that had such a gift. Suddenly delighted, he looked about for where these others lived. That was when he met Dorian. Dorian had led him to this new place, where they could live in seclusion and isolation. He currently resides within the small town and is willing to work for those that need it.
Recently, Atticus had gotten himself into a pickle. He had been chased by a large dog when he was alone in the woods when, suddenly, he had been shot. He fell from a rather high height into a large lake below. It was freezing cold and he could not swim back up in his owl form. His feathers were now completely soaked with ice and snow and he had no choice but to morph back into human form in the ice cold water. He had nearly drowned in the process. Afterwards, after he had finally gotten to the top of the frozen lake, he ran off into a vacant house and tried to warm himself up but was unable. He was loosing blood from the shot and the cold was causing him to shiver. Soon he would develop hypothermia, and he really didn't need that. Thankfully, a woman had found him that way and taken him in. He was kept warm in that time and repaid her back by collecting wood for her house. After all, she was rather old. Afterwards, he left. Little did he know that he had developed a fear of water. Ever since then, he has never liked anything to do with large bodies of water.
